MSIDTAA Officer Job Descriptions

President

  • The President shall preside at all meetings of the MSIDTAA; shall oversee the financial operations of the MSIDTAA; shall interact with the CSUF Alumni Association on behalf of the MSIDTAA; shall perform such duties and functions as may be designated by the MSIDTAA. The President shall appoint Active Members to fill vacancies on the Board; shall appoint chairpersons for all committees; and shall be an ex-officio member of all committees of the MSIDTAA with the exception of the Election Committee.

Vice President, Chapter Development

  • The VP of Chapter Development shall coordinate the development of chapter activities and services based on regular input from chapter members via surveys, polls, and other solicitations for suggested activities and shall perform such additional duties as are assigned by the President of the MSIDTAA.

Vice President, Membership

  • The VP of Membership shall coordinate all recruitment and retention efforts for membership within the MSIDTAA. The VP of Membership will work with the CSUF Alumni Association to verify MSIDTAA membership eligibility and status and shall perform such additional duties as are assigned by the President of the MSIDTAA.

Vice President, Programs

  • The VP of Programs shall coordinate the calendar of events for the MSIDTAA membership and oversee the planning of each event. The VP of Programs will coordinate events of interest to the members of the MSIDTAA regarding the instructional design field and shall perform such additional duties as are assigned by the President of the MSIDTAA.

Vice President, Records and Finance

  • The VP of Records and Finance shall see that copies of the financial report of the MSIDTAA are forwarded to members of the Board on a quarterly basis; shall take minutes at all appropriate meetings and distribute such minutes to the MSIDTAA Board of Directors on a timely basis; shall be the MSIDTAA historian; and shall perform such additional duties as are assigned by the President of the MSIDTAA.

Vice President, Relationships and Chapter Liaison

  • The VP of Relationships and Chapter Liaison acts as faculty liaison between CSUF MSIDT program and MSIDTAA providing communication and current information between both groups. Attends and represents the MSIDTAA during onsite MSIDT faculty meetings once per month at CSUF as a non-voting member. Attends MSIDTAA board meetings and gathers/shares updates within both MSIDT and MSIDTAA. Communicates current MSIDT program information to MSIDTAA for national and international cohorts. Partners with VP of Membership and VP of Programs in identifying MSIDTAA members who would assist with providing representatives at various MSIDT program activities such as the boot-up camp, midpoint symposium, commencement, etc. May eventually serve as a member of the multi-representative MSIDT Advisory Board (future potential).
    This office to be filled by an officer who has served a minimum of one term of the MSIDT Alumni Board.
